Project Overview

  • Location

    Pennsylvania

  • Project Goals

The project modernized a 10-year-old AMX AV system by replacing legacy control and processing with an Extron-based architecture. New processors, DSPs, and cameras were installed to improve audio‑visual performance and reliability, and the system was configured to support Microsoft Teams through integration with an updated Cisco EQ environment. A centralized tech booth houses core equipment, and control was consolidated to the existing Cisco touch panel for a streamlined user experience—no additional touch panels were required—keeping operation simple for presenters and AV staff.

  • Budget Range

    $0USD-$60,000USD

  • System Design

The system was standardized around Extron hardware: the processor, DSP, amplifiers, power supply, and transmitters were all replaced with Extron components to create a unified, reliable backbone. Video conferencing processing remained on a Cisco PRO, with the interior tech booth directly connected to the Cisco platform for streamlined conferencing management. All cameras were upgraded from Vaddio to Cisco 4K PTZ models, improving image clarity and remote control. User interfaces and controls were built on Cisco and directly integrated with the Extron backbone to provide seamless control and coordinated AV performance across the entire system.

Array installed a motorized screen with an 8,000‑lumen NEC projector for crisp, high-impact boardroom visuals. The screen integrates with the room control for scheduled deployment, scene presets, and one‑touch use from panels or mobile. The ultra‑bright projector delivers vivid, readable images in well-lit spaces with accurate color from advanced optics and color management. The system was professionally calibrated and networked for remote monitoring and simplified AV management.

  • The project's goal was the turnkey delivery of a dedicated live event and presentation space. This solution was engineered to provide facility personnel with centralized and straightforward control. The system architecture incorporates a versatile audio-visual backbone, featuring multi-source audio connectivity (including wireless microphones, Bluetooth, and USB) and network-wide Dante routing capabilities. Further requirements mandated the successful integration of preset room configurations to accommodate varying event types and the implementation of a technical framework to ensure future expansion for a dynamically dividable room partition system.

  • $0USD-$40,000USD

  • We developed a high-fidelity event space system engineered for future scalability and full integration with the client's existing infrastructure.

The core control utilized a Crestron deployment (Heart-based) paired with Biamp Digital Signal Processing (DSP). This choice maintained consistency with the client's established standards and previous installations, ensuring simplified maintenance and future interoperability.

For user control, we designed multiple, intuitive touch panel control pages. These interfaces provide facility staff with complete management over volume levels and individual speaker zoning, allowing the space to easily adapt to all types of presentation layouts and events.

A key aesthetic requirement was minimal speaker visibility. To meet this, we strategically installed corner-mounted speakers and utilized the Bose EM90 full-range speaker array to deliver powerful, consistent audio without visual intrusion.

Critically, the entire audio backbone was built with native Dante networking. This ensures the system can be seamlessly integrated into the client's larger, building-wide network, allowing for flexible routing of any audio source across the entire site.
